I had been making progress with my weight loss journey, but then I hit a plateau at 236.5 lbs. My highest weight had been 255 lbs, and it had stayed between 240 and 250 lbs for about a year before I decided to take action. I made some changes to my diet, started drinking more water, and began walking every day of the week. These small adjustments helped me drop down to 235 lbs fairly quickly, but since then, I've been stuck at that weight for several months.
After talking to a few individuals who have used or are currently using Ozempic for weight loss, Cody and I decided to give it a try ourselves. We ordered the peptide compound Semaglutide and received our products on Monday. That evening, we followed the mixing instructions and injected our first dose of Ozempic. Since then, we have already noticed quite a few changes in our bodies - some positive ones as well as some not-so-positive ones.
On the first day after taking Ozempic, Cody felt extremely tired and experienced another minor side effect that won't be mentioned here. Personally, I didn't notice any side effects until this morning - morning number two of taking the medication - when I realized that I've been urinating much more than usual. Additionally today, I'm feeling slightly fatigued myself.
So far these are the downsides that Cody and I have encountered while trying out Ozempic.
The great thing is that both of us have already shed some pounds. I've lost 3 pounds, and Cody has dropped 9 pounds. It's a big deal because neither of us is feeling hungry, which is especially significant for me. Prior to starting this journey, I used to wake up in the middle of the night with intense hunger and would just eat whatever was available in the fridge. But last night was different - it was the first time in a long while that I didn't wake up with those hunger pangs. That's why I decided to give Ozempic a shot.
Right now, as part of my routine, I'm having a protein shake for lunch because it's crucial to keep our bodies nourished with essential nutrients throughout the day. Additionally, I plan on getting us some multivitamins and making sure we never skip dinner. My plan is something along the lines of an old-school slim fast diet - you know, two shakes during the day and then a healthy dinner at night? That's what we'll most likely end up doing. Although I'm not entirely sure if Cody will be on board with drinking protein shakes like me though!
I've been experiencing some serious fatigue with Ozempic.
I've been feeling lethargic all week, and initially, I attributed it to the hot weather.
But then, I joined a Facebook support group for Semaglutide and discovered that many others are also complaining about feeling tired. However, we were reassured that this fatigue is only temporary during the first couple of weeks while our bodies adjust to the medication.
In addition to the tiredness, yesterday I experienced all the typical side effects of quitting sugar abruptly - including a pounding headache. To alleviate these symptoms, I decided to have a regular Dr Pepper which seemed to help.
However, my main goal on this journey is cutting out sugars and processed foods altogether, so now I've switched to Dr Pepper Zero.
Cody and I are both excited about this new Ozempic Journey! Along the way, we'll be documenting our progress through pictures and video diaries. Hopefully, Cody will join me in sharing some experiences too! And hey guys out there reading this – you should definitely follow along as well!!!
If you have any questions or comments about our journey or anything else related to it – feel free to share them below!
Until next time.
