As the Kings and Queens of our own universe, it's most important to be able to care for all those within our universe. The King Ryan Radio community believes in doing as much as possible to help as many people as possible with the hope that others will be able to help others in the future. A big reason for my desire is that I believe in Karma, and yesterday I ran across the 12 Laws of Karma once again. Today I want to share my thoughts about those twelve laws with you.
This is the article that I read speaking on those 12 laws:
Karma to me is simply getting back from the world what you put into the world. That's the biggest reason that I serve on the Board of River Valley food for Kids or help a neighbor out by filling raising funds to replace a stove. Karma isn't the only reason I do it though, I do it because I want to see people thrive, not just survive. I am sharing these twelve laws with the desire for whoever is reading this to thrive. Please take the time to comment below if any of this resonates with you.
The 1st law is "The Great Law" or the law of cause and effect. Most people in the Western Hemisphere have heard it as you reap what you sow. If you give love, you get love. If you smile, you almost always get a smile back. See https://www.kingryanradio.net/post/where-have-all-the-smiles-gone If you plant a soybean, you do NOT get a tomato. If you plant an acorn, you don't get a Willow Tree. Instead, plant what you want to see grow in the garden of your life!
The 2nd law of karma is the law of creation. This law means that you have to put forth an effort tothing actually happen. I cannot sit on my thumb wishing for the hungry to get fed, but instead, I have to do something to feed the hungry. If you want a million dollars, it's easier to make a plan and follow that plan to make a million dollars than it is to play the lottery and win. Even with playing the lottery, you cannot win without buying a ticket, so a person must do something to see their dreams come alive.
The 3rd law holds more weight than most people realize, the law of humility. Most Gurus believe being humble applies to accepting your past for what it is and understanding that you are where you are because of your life's choices. I agree but also believe part of humility is doing for others without any expectation of anything in return. For instance, if you lend your shoulder for someone to cry on, you cannot nor should you expect that they will be able to do the same for you in the future. I do not mean that if you work for someone you shouldn't get paid what you are worth. There is a difference between doing something with humility and getting walked over.
The 4th law of karma is the law of growth and speaks to self-awareness through personal growth. As a person in recovery, the law of growth can be stated as the serenity prayer, "Grant to me the serenity of mind to accept that which cannot be changed; courage to change that which can be changed, and wisdom to know the one from the other." This puts the ultimate focus on ourselves instead of those people and things around us.
The 5th law is the law of responsibility and is a direct response to the 1st law. We always reap what we sew, and it is our responsibility to own up to our actions when the choices that we have made negatively affect ourselves or the people around us. It's also good to take responsibility for the good that you do, so you can continue helping those around you that need it.
The 6th law is the law of connection. This law is based on everything in your life being connected, past - present - future. Who we are now is based on who we were, and who we will be is based on who we are now. It reminds me of Rob Schneider describing the ring in I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, "the ring is a circle, it goes on forever. It's not like a triangle, triangles have corners. It's like a circle." Our past, present, and future are all connected, and taking responsibility for past actions while being your best self now will give you the greatest opportunity to live in the future that you want for yourself. It also determines how many people you can help in the future.
The 7th law is the law of focus. Focusing on too many things can keep you from accomplishing anything. When you only focus on one thing at a time, you are less likely to be worried about what may or may not happen or get frustrated because nothing ever gets done. While selling real estate, I studied time blocking and the law of focus shows how time blocking does make an individual successful. I would block off 30-minute and one or two-hour intervals to focus on one task for that time block. when I did this, I'd make calls for two hours and would not worry about anything else, so it helped me relax and get in a groove which increased my production.
The 8th law is the law of giving and hospitality. King Ryan Radio was created based on this law. When we give to the things that matter most to us in life, we see our hearts' desires fulfilled. I spend a lot of time giving to River Valley Food for Kids because I don't believe children should go hungry, or parents should spend their time worrying about where their next meal will come from. There are enough resources in our world to go around that nobody should have to starve. If people aren't starving, they have more time to focus on building a thriving life for themselves and those around them. I also wish the world could find peace and that everyone would learn to work together, so I will promote things here at King Ryan Radio that will increase the chances of those things happening like creating a better network of local libraries and bookstores and reading and literacy initiatives. Access to knowledge is imperative to obtaining peace and for people to understand how to work together for the benefit of all humankind.
The 9th law of karma is the law of here and now which promotes peace by teaching us to live in the moment. The law of here and now doesn't allow us to dwell on past mistakes but allows us to use the lessons from those mistakes to live and perform perfectly in the present. Once we achieve mastery of this law, we can truly live a full life without regretting wasted time.
The 10th law of karma is the law of change and I personally deal with this on a regular basis. This law states that lessons continue to happen until the lesson is learned. History repeats itself until that cycle is stopped. For instance, I am a recovered alcoholic and spent about 10 years of my life in a cycle of darkness and regret because I chose to deal with my problems by drinking alcohol from the time I woke up until I passed out. I chose not to face even the tiniest problem but finally quit drinking and now have a thriving relationship with my husband Cody, and a way more stable relationship with the rest of my family. I am still learning lessons though, but now I realize that if I'm stuck in a rut that life is trying to teach me something.
The 11th law of karma is the law of patience and reward. Personally, I have a hard time with this one because in my lifetime everything in this world sped up and is almost instantly at our fingertips. I am still learning to be patient by creating healthy routines that I stick to consistently and focus on giving back even when it may feel like I'm not accomplishing anything. As the Bible says, my rewards will be great and laid up in Heaven. Maybe one day we will see that Heaven on Earth. If not, I will persist until the good I do helps create a better life for everyone around me.
The 12th law of karma is the law of significance and inspiration. While reading this if you only take one thing away I hope it is this law. According to the law of significance and inspiration, everything you do will affect this world. It's your choice if you want to use your given gifts to care for everyone in your path or use those gifts solely for the purpose of making yourself happy.
