Former Arkansas governor and Bill Clinton's most hated Senator, Asa Hutchinson has his eyes on the White House. Asa is expected to soon announce his run for US President at the place of his and Wal-Marts birth, Bentonville, AR.
Can Asa bring sanity back to a party that djsyphilis has all but destroyed? Doubtful.
I liked Asshat as our governor for the most part. He was definitely better than who we have now, but his policies and lack of leadership left a vacuum where this former mouthpiece was allowed to be elected. Arkansans are suffering RIGHT NOW because of Asshat's choices and will be over the next 4 years.
But there is a problem with that. Several problems with that.
1. Asa was a staunch supporter of the one whose name I will not speak for far too long. Any sane person who cares for people should have known supporting the prior GOP president was the wrong thing to do as soon as that person was seen on national T.V. mocking a disabled person and laughing about it.
2. Asa did nothing to stop supporters of the con man from rising to positions of power especially in his home state. He actually made it easier for them to get elected.
3. Asa was born in the land of Wal-Mart and will serve the same interests that the current GOP madhouse supports. Big Money. I can admit Democrats do this too, and it will always be a problem until the working class rises up against the ruling class. (Preferably through the ballot, not the bullet.) 4. Asshat continued supporting the worst person ever in its re-election campaign and only recently broke away from them because they are finally being indicted. (How's that for some pronouns?)
5. The man is an opportunist at best. He sees the shit currently happening within the GOP and is trying to take advantage of it by changing his image. Guaranteed he might be more congenial and easier on the ears. Still, his policies will continue supporting the mega-churches and Waltons of this country instead of the working-class people.
As a young person, you have the power to save the GOP from itself and its current downward spiral. You can bring about change and restore the Republican Party to its former glory. To do this, you must first recognize that the party needs a new, fresh perspective and voice. It needs to reach out to new constituencies and offer a new vision for the future. It is up to you to make sure that the Republican Party is a place where everyone feels welcome and that all perspectives are respected.
You can use your energy and enthusiasm to create a more inclusive and diverse platform for the Republican Party. You can reach out to different communities, engage with them, and listen to their concerns. You can also rally people around shared values and ideals that will help bring the party back to its core values. By helping to lead this effort, you can help the GOP become a party that represents all Americans, not just those at the top.
Or better yet, just become a Democrat.
