All - Star Organization - Pope County 100 Families Alliance

Updated: Jul 25, 2023

The Pope County 100 Families Alliance is a relatively new organization in Russellville, developed during COVID. A recent Facebook post made them stand out to me so I've decided to share them at King Ryan Radio.

100 Families community initiative to help those struggling

You can visit their Facebook page here:

Zac George defines Pope County 100 Families Alliance as "a community-led initiative to help struggling families move out looking for help with a single short-term issue, or a handout, or money you might need to look for another organization. But if you’d like to find help long-term solutions to move from crisis to career, we’d love to support you. Please call or text our office Monday-Thursday 9-3. (479) 274-0269."

One of Pope County 100 Families Alliance's most recent initiatives was to help provide a young mother of three with reliable transportation. Latosha Arter Taylor said this about the good deed, "At 100 Families, we like to help eliminate barriers, so that a person is not just surviving, but THRIVING! Thanks to one of our generous community members, one of the participants of 100 Families obtained a reliable car for an affordable price! She can now get her three little girls to and from school and get a decent job. We couldn’t do it without community support."

Pope County 100 Families Alliance also supports people in Recovery. "We have been supporting a young mother in her own personal recovery journey and she has proudly informed us that she has PASSED her first drug test in 10YRS!!! We are so proud of her and this is a huge victory worth celebrating!" Again shared by Latosha.

Their mission statement is this: 100 Families is a community-led initiative to help struggling families move out of crisis, into stability, and onto careers. We do this by engaging community organizations, non-profits, government agencies, and public officials to work together to make population-level changes, using existing community resources, and training case managers in the 100 Families Model.

More information on the 100 families model can be found here: https://thestepsinc.org/100-families
